Subject: Re: Simple question hopefully. Are MACH accel settings ignored by K
Hi Steve,

With KFLOP+Mach3 there are cases where motion trajectories are determined by Mach3 and other cases where motion is determined by KFLOP.

Mach3 determines the motion trajectories for GCode G0, G1, G2, G3 and Step Jog motions.  In these cases the Acceleration on the Mach3 Motor Tuning page determines the motion.

In cases of continuous Jog and Homing, Mach3 doesn't generate the motion trajectories.  It just tells the plugin to please do some operation.  In these cases KFLOP is able to create the motion trajectories as 3rd order (faster/smoother) motions itself and uses its Acceleration and Jerk Limits.  Note these are in units of Steps rather than inches, so divide by your resolution to equate the two.

Yes you will need to change KFLOP's settings in the Init C file and Reset Mach3 to have the new settings have an effect.  But the normal way to determine the Velocity, Acceleration, and Jerk limits for your machine is to use the Step Response Screen in KMotion.exe, before using Mach3.
